Snow will be widespread across the area this morning as a developing storm system, over central Lake Michigan at sunrise moves to Lake Ontario by this evening.  An inch or two of snow is expected. Tonight and Sunday expect only flurries with continued cold temperatures as a high pressure system passes to the south of Michigan. The next storm system moves through the area Monday with additional snowfall. That will be followed by the coldest air of the season so far for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Snow showers, mainly before 5pm. High near 29. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Saturday Night

A 30 percent chance of snow showers before 8pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 20. North northwest wind 7 to 11 mph.

Sunday

A 20 percent chance of snow showers after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 29. West southwest wind 9 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Sunday Night

A 40 percent chance of snow showers, mainly after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 21. West southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light after midnight.

Monday

A chance of snow showers before 8am, then snow likely, mainly after 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 31. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Snow likely before 8pm, then snow showers likely, mainly between 8pm and 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 20. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
