The Michigan Department of Transportation and the Jackson County Department of Transportation have announced several road closures and detours during construction projects.
MDOT has announced Page Avenue over US-127 will be closed from approximately 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 19th for maintenance. A detour will be posted when the bridge is closed.
TheJackson County Department of Transportation will close Kimmel Road between South Jackson Road and Hague Avenue, on Monday, August 21, 2017. The road will be closed to through traffic to replace an 11’ span concrete box culvert. Work on this project is expected to be completed in two weeks, weather permitting.
Motorists are advised to follow the posted detours, and to seek alternate routes.
The Jackson County Department of Transportation, in collaboration with Rives Township and the Jackson & Lansing Railroad Co.,will close Henry Road between Rives Junction Road and Churchill Road, on Monday, August 28, 2017, to reconstruct the railroad crossing and approach. The road will be closed to through traffic for approximately one week, weather permitting.
On September 6, 2017 our collaborative team will close Broughwell Road between Rives Junction Road and Churchill Road to through traffic to reconstruct another railroad crossing and approach. This closure is also expected to last approximately one week, weather permitting.
No detour routes will be posted for either closure, and motorists should seek alternate routes.
