The Grass Lake Farmers Market is open today at Grass Lake Community Events Pavilion on Brown Street next to the Car Wash in Downtown Grass Lake,.  Hours are 4pm to 7pm.    Farmers Market will be every Wednesday  running through September 27. 

Yoga at Meijer Branch, Jackson District Library.  Every Monday and Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. and Friday at 8:30 am.  Join Yoga instructor Jeanette Lamphere and learn the basics of yoga.  Suggested donation $3. Intended for adults. 

Yoga at the Concord Branch of the Jackson District Library.  Bring your mat and join us every Wednesday at 10 AM for yoga with Amy Reamer. This class is free, but there is a suggested donation of $5. Intended for adults.

Senior Safe, Sound, and Secure Seminar is hosted by TRIAD of Jackson County (TRIAD is a collaboration of seniors, law enforcement, and community organizations working together to reduce criminal victimization affecting older persons). Call (517) 788-4363 to Register. 8:45 AM – 9 AM: Registration.  Speakers include Steve Rand, Sheriff Jackson County, Janelle Merritt, Assistant VP of Branch Operations at American One Credit Union, Don Williams and Jennie Lapp, Jackson YMCA.  Lunch at 12 PM.  This event will take place at County Human Service Complex Room 005, Lansing Avenue County Complex.  Park in Lot A.

First PBS POV Screening at Carnegie Auditorium, Jackson District Library.  Attend a showing of POV’s documentary Art and Craft, directed by Sam Cullman and Jennifer Grausman and co-directed by Mark Becker, airing at JDL’s Carnegie branch. Since 1988, POV has presented over 400 films to public television audiences across the country. POV films are known for their intimacy, their unforgettable storytelling, and their timeliness; putting a human face on contemporary social issues.  Outside the Lines is a weeklong celebration demonstrating the creativity and innovation happening in libraries.  6:30 to 8:30 PM.  Free and intended for adults.

Jackson Community Music School will be holding a public String Team Open House and information session at 6:30 PM at the JSO building, Weatherwax Hall, downtown Jackson.
