Red Cross Blood Drive.  During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the American Red Cross encourages eligible donors to give blood to support cancer patients and others.  According to the American Cancer Society, nearly 1.7 million new cases of cancer are expected in the U.S. this year.  Cancer patients may need blood products during chemotherapy, surgery or treatment for complications.  Today’s Blood Drives: 12 p.m. – 5:45 p.m., Baker College, 2800 Springport Road, Jackson and 8 a.m. – 1:45 p.m., Napoleon High School, 201 West Avenue, Napoleon.

Friends of the Spring Arbor Branch of the Jackson District Library Book Sale.  All week at the branch.  Friends of the Library are having their Fall Book Sale.   Stop in and see what treasures you can find!!   Friday will be $1 a bag day. 

Yoga at the Concord Branch, Jackson District Library. Bring your mat and join us every Wednesday at 10 a.m. for yoga with Amy Reamer. This class is free, but there is a suggested donation of $5. Intended for adults.  Concord Branch 517-905-1379 108 S. Main St. Concord.

Le Monde en François. Calling all high school and college aged French speakers! Join us every Wednesday from 4:30 PM to 6 PM. for the Jackson District Library new French Club. This is your opportunity to practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing in French. Every week alternates between group meetings and study sessions. This is a French speaking group, not French language lessons. Intended for ages 16-23.  Carnegie Branch, Downtown Jackson.
