The Jackson Downtown Development Authority presents the Grand River Farmers Market, today from 8am to 2pm.  The market, featuring seasonal farmers and other vendors is at Grand River Marketplace, corner of Glick Highway and Mechanic Street in Downtown Jackson.

Yoga at the Carnegie Branch of the Jackson District Library.  Feeling stressed? Join us on every Tuesday at 5:30 PM for yoga at the Carnegie Branch. Newbies to certified Yogis welcome. Intended for adults.

Jackson Business and Professional Women present Opioid Crisis:  Close to Home.  The opioid epidemic is the rapid increase in the use of prescription and non-prescription opioid drugs in the United States.  This nationwide crisis is our crisis right here in Jackson.  Guest speakers include Jackson County Prosecutor Jerry Jarzynka and Mike Hirst, founder of Andy’s Angels.  All are welcome to join us for this informative presentation.  Cascades Manor House, 1970 Kibby Road.  Lunch is $15.  Donations will also be accepted onsite for Andy’s Angels. 

The next regular meeting of the Jackson City Council will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at 6:30 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, City Hall, 161 W. Michigan Avenue, Jackson.
