The Jackson City Council meets tonight at 6:30 PM, Council Chambers, City Hall. The City Clerk will administer the Oaths of Office to the newly elected:  Sixth Ward, Colleen Sullivan;  Fifth Ward, Andrew R. Frounfelker;  Third Ward, Jeromy Alexander;   First Ward, Arlene Robinson;  Mayor, Derek J. Dobies. 

Yoga at the Carnegie Branch, Jackson District Library.  Feeling stressed? Join us on the every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. for yoga at the Carnegie Branch. Newbies to certified Yogis welcome. Intended for adults.

Grand River Brewery is hosting its 2nd Annual Repeal Day Party.  Grand River Brewery will be closing at 4:00 and reopening at exactly 5:32 on to a host a restaurant-wide party in honor of Repeal Day.  On December 5th, 1933, the 21st Amendment to the US Constitution was ratified, thereby repealing the 18th Amendment, which banned the sale, distribution, and consumption of alcohol.  We’ll be celebrating this momentous occasion with a limited prohibition era menu, stiff cocktails, bar specials, and the return of our Bashful Flapper Ginger Blonde Prohibition Ale.  Live music TBA.  Additionally, we will be having a “prohibition era” costume contest, so come out, dress up, tie one on!  Tickets will be $10 in advance, $12 at the door.

Toys for Tots Tuesday at The Chase.  Help us support this great cause and join us today and next Tuesday.  A portion of our proceeds will go to the Toys for Tots campaign.   And even better….it will also be $2 TUESDAY! $2 Long Island’s ALL DAY, every Tuesday
