The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce invites you to celebrate the Ribbon Cutting and Open House of their new office located at 134 W. Michigan Ave, Jackson on December 12th. The event will take place from 4:30 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. and is hosted by Experience Jackson, The Anchor Initiative, and the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce.  The Ribbon Cutting will take place at 5:30 P.M. The open house will be a time for the public to view the new office and tour the space. Drinks and hors-d’oeuvres will be available. Chamber members are encouraged to bring brochures to put on display in the new office.

Ornament Contest.  The Spring Arbor Branch of the Jackson District Library invites you to bring your own homemade ornament to hang on our tree! Ornaments must be no bigger than 5 inches and can be made from any material. Drop off your ornament anytime during normal business hours between December 1-20. Judging will take place on December 20 and prizes will be awarded for children, teens, and adults. 1 entry per person. All ages welcome.

Stress-less Holiday Movie.  LifeWays offers monthly stress less events including art activities, movie screening and crafts to reduce stress. Each month is a different activity!  1200 N West Ave, Jackson.  3 PM to 5 PM.  For more information, click here.

Free Move:  Last Ounce of Courage.  Please join the Michigan Theatre for a free showing of “Last ounce of Courage”.  Last Ounce of Courage is the story of an American hero standing up for his beliefs in a time of cynicism and fear. Inspired by his grandson, a grieving father and courageous youth will rally their community to conserve the freedoms we the people hold dear. Bob Revere is a small town Mayor and combat decorated veteran. He faces a root of bitterness from his past filled with heartbreaking loss. His grandson comes back into his life after many years to ask the most important question, What are we doing with our life to make a difference? Bob had grown apathetic along with an entire town. Now with the help of children, a group of people all band together to inspire hope, take back the freedoms that are being lost and take a stand for truth.  Doors open at 6:30 P.M.  Film begins at 7 PM. Free Admission.

Nite Lites Holiday Light Display at Michigan International Speedway.  Now through December 30.  Michigan International Speedway.  US-12 Entrance only, 12626 US-12, Brooklyn.    Time: 5:30 pm – 9 pm Sunday thru Thursday.  5:30 pm – 10:00 pm Friday & Saturday.  Pricing: $20 per car / vehicle, $35 per mini-bus, $65 per tour bus.
