Jackson – Some might find it hard to believe that we’ve been enjoying the Dirty Bird for one year already. This weekend, they plan to celebrate their 1st anniversary in a big way. On Saturday, September 30th they will be shutting down part of West Michigan Avenue, in front of their location, to hold their very own beer fest! With over 20 participating breweries and more being added daily, you will surely find something to enjoy.

“The Dirty Bird is extremely excited for this event. It has been a long time coming for Jackson to have something like this in the downtown area,” says General Manager, Phil Godfrey.

In addition to great beer there is going to be great food, prizes, giveaways, and live music. Jeremy Sprague out of East Lansing, will be performing once again for an excited Dirty Bird crowd.

You can get your drink tickets right at the entrance to the event. $25 will get you 10 tickets and you can always buy more as needed. The outdoor event will be open to those 21 years old and up, while the restaurant will be open to all ages.

This event rounds out one great first year for the Dirty Bird. “We believe our first year has gone amazingly. However, we are continuously striving to become better and create an experience downtown like none other,” says Godfrey.
