CP Federal Credit Union announced today that John Crist will retire as President and Chief Executive Officer on July 1st, 2017.  The Board of Directors has selected Chrissy Siders to be the company’s next President/CEO.   

Crist has served CP Federal Credit Union for over 43 years as a volunteer Supervisory Committee member, board member and board chair. Crist then became President/CEO in 1997 after working 29 years at Consumers Energy. Under Crist’s leadership CP Federal Credit Union has grown to over $400 million in assets, expanded into Ingham County, operates 7 full service branches and serves over 50,000 members. Recently, CP Federal Credit Union received a Top 100 Workplace award from the Detroit Free Press for its third consecutive year. 

“It has been a true honor to serve the members of CP Federal Credit Union and lead the Credit Union to be one of Jackson’s most successful locally owned financial institutions. We have a wonderful family here at CP Federal and they will continue to be on my mind and in my heart as I transition on to my new adventure.” said Crist.

Chrissy Siders joined CP Federal Credit Union in 1998 as a teller and gained a multitude of experience in several departments spanning from accounting to compliance and risk management eventually becoming Vice President of Risk Management and Specialized Lending.

“Chrissy will make a wonderful President/CEO. Her experience, passion for the Credit Union and leadership will contribute to the future success of CP Federal Credit Union.” stated Crist.

Siders is a Jackson native and graduated from Western High School. She then received her Bachelor’s Degree from Michigan State University in criminal justice and Master’s Degree in business administration from Spring Arbor University. Siders is an active community volunteer and serves on several boards and committees throughout the community such as Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice, Marriage Matters and the Jackson Chamber of Commerce Legislative committee to name a few. 

Siders will serve as the 4th President/CEO of CP Federal Credit since its establishment in 1953.
