The VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System will host a Vietnam era Veterans Commemoration event on Friday, May 6, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon to honor all Vietnam era Veterans and their families. There will be a formal opening ceremony at 9:30 a.m. that will include a Presentation of Colors by the Veterans Honor Guard of Washtenaw County, comments from VA officials, and guest speaker, Lt. Col. Charles S. Kettles, a decorated Vietnam Veteran and Medal of Honor nominee.

There will also be a military memorabilia exhibit provided by VFW Post 423, information about the history of the Vietnam War, live music, light refreshments, as well as resource information about various VA benefits, programs, and services including VA Healthcare, Veterans Benefits Administration, National Cemetery Administration (Great Lakes National Cemetery), and Vet Centers. Veterans Service Organizations, the Washtenaw County Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Buddy to Buddy Veteran Volunteer Program will also be available to share information. All Veterans and their families are welcome to attend.
