BROOKLYN, Mich. – The United States Army Chorus Quartet will sing the national anthem prior to the Quicken Loans 400 at Michigan International Speedway.

The Quicken Loans 400 is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 14. Pre-race and driver introductions will begin at noon.

The U.S. Army Chorus Quartet’s rendition of the national anthem will follow. Fans will want to be sure to be in their seats for “The Star-Spangled Banner.” The U.S. Army Chorus Quartet has performed across the country and at some of the most prestigious locations. The rendition is sure to be an unforgettable performance.

“We are honored to have the U.S. Army Chorus Quartet to perform the national anthem for the Quicken Loans 400,” MIS President Roger Curtis. “There is no better group to perform the national anthem than these soldiers – and on flag day, the U.S. Army’s birthday. We are looking forward to their performance and we are sure the fans will enjoy it, as well.”

The U.S. Army Chorus was established in 1956 and maintained a reputation of excellence in the performance of male choral literature. Currently, the U.S. Army Chorus is one of the only professional male choruses. Beyond the traditional military music and patriotic standards, the U.S. Army Chorus Quartet covers a broad spectrum which includes pop, Broadway, folk, and classical music. The Army Chorus performs frequently at the White House, the Vice President’s Residence, the U.S. Capitol and the State Department.

Most of the members of the Army Chorus, hold advanced degrees in music, are selected from among the nation’s finest musicians. In 2016, the group will celebrate its 60th Anniversary to be marked with concerts to include a reunion of past members, many of whom have had successful careers in music education and as soloists on Broadway and opera stages around the world.

By The Way will perform the national anthem prior to the Great Clips 250 Benefiting Paralyzed Veterans of America at Michigan International Speedway.

The Great Clips 250 benefitting Paralyzed Veterans of America is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 13. Pre-race driver introductions will begin at 1 p.m. By The Way will follow with the national anthem.

The four teens of Detroit-based By the Way are a classically trained opera singer, a pageant titleholder, a musical theater performer and a singer-songwriter. The diverse styles of Ursula Fuller, Darbi Dombrowski, Marisa Nahas and Frankie Bellisario together create vocal harmonies blending into one beautiful, distinctive sound.

Girl group By the Way is an exciting addition to the pop music scene. The four teens of Detroit-based By the Way are a classically trained opera singer, a pageant titleholder, a musical theater performer and a singer-songwriter. The girls of By the Way embrace a strong passion for singing and songwriting, performing a mix of original music while also creating unique renditions of current popular songs. They have performed the National Anthem for the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Tigers, and Detroit Pistons. In 2014, they were the opening act for Disney’s Tween Stars Live and Karen Newman’s Christmas show at the Fox Theatre in Detroit. They also appeared in concert with singer/songwriter Zack Dobbins at Detroit’s City Theater.
