SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Seven Spring Arbor University softball players were named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes for the 2015 season, the national office announced on Wednesday (May 27).

Beka Bentz, Lauren Brenner, Kasidy Coats, Bekah Guy, Alika Kingsbury, Kaitlyn Sinclair and Amanda Youngheim and were among the 402 softball student-athletes to receive the NAIA’s highest academic honor.

In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director for the award, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
