Jackson High Football held its second annual Pink Viking Project at the Jackson vs Lansing Eastern game on October 9.  Athletes wore jerseys bearing the names of cancer patients, survivors and victims.  Before the game, players and family members walked the track to honor those who have died.  The athletes were introduced along with family members of persons honored.  The event was held as a fundraiser and to increase awareness in the battle against cancer.  Last year, more than $8,000 was raised and donated to Allegiance Health Foundation Patient Assistance Fund.
