SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Spring Arbor University head women’s bowling coach Michael Hall has announced the signing of Kelsey Thomas. Thomas is a native of Jackson, Michigan and attends Northwest High School.

 

Thomas was a two-year varsity bowler for the Mounties and was the team’s anchor her senior season. She placed ninth at the 2016 Girls Individual Bowling Regionals to qualify for the state finals. Thomas was named All-State Honorable Mention, and was an All-Area Honorable Mention selection. She owns a 180 average with a high-game score of 246.

 

In addition to bowling, Thomas was the dance team captain and participated in choir. She also excels in the classroom earning a spot on the A and B Honor Roll.

 

Thomas is the daughter of Tim and Jeanie Thomas, and has one brother, Matthew. While attending Spring Arbor, she plans on majoring in Graphic Design.

 

The 2016-17 academic year will be the inaugural season of competition for the Spring Arbor men’s and women’s bowling programs. The teams will practice and compete at Airport Lanes Bowling Center in Jackson, Michigan.
