Tecumseh Center Black Box Series announcement on JTV

Tecumseh Center for the Arts brings Pure Michigan to its stage this summer with their Black Box Summer Series scheduled for the fourth Thursday of June, July, and August at 7:00 PM.

The Tecumseh Players will start off the series on June 23 and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Come out and join in the fun as Tecumseh Players showcase their talents at improv, staged readings and mayhem. This casual event will welcome Tecumseh Players as they perform interactive theatre, share information on their upcoming events, answer questions, and let everyone know about the theatrical performance being planning for December.

On Thursday, July 28, The Crossed Lines will perform live on the TCA stage. These seasoned Ypsilanti musicians consistently create thoughtful and passionate music complete with mandolin, fiddle and piano. This musical group with Tecumseh connections combines bluegrass, folk and rock that everyone will enjoy.

Closing out the Black Box Summer Series will be Kylee Phillips on Thursday, August 25th. This up and coming pop singer, pianist, and song writer from Plymouth, Michigan, has garnered comparisons to Sara Bareilles and Brandi Carlile. Kylee has performed all over the state of Michigan, from her hometown of Plymouth to local music hot spots like Detroit and Ann Arbor performing with Crystal Bowersox, Kris Allen, The Proclaimers and Lee DeWyze among others.

Come experience hot talent in a cool atmosphere during this year’s Black Box Summer Series. The TCA lobby lounge opens at 6:00 pm with a variety of refreshments including beer and wine. Tickets are $10 each or you can buy tickets for all three shows for just $25; a $5 savings. Tickets can be purchased by phone at 517-423-6617, at the box office located at 400 N. Maumee Street, Tecumseh, Michigan, or on-line at www.thetca.org. Like the TCA on Facebook and keep up to date on the cultural entertainment and live performances scheduled this summer and beyond!
